If ambition is to be well regarded, the rewards of ambition -- wealth, distinction, control over one’s destiny -- must be deemed worthy of the sacrifices made on ambition’s behalf. If the tradition of ambition is to have vitality, it must be widely shared; and it especially must be highly regarded by people who are themselves admired, the educated not least among them.

選項A：Ambition may be well regarded if its returns well compensate for the sacrifices
選項B：Ambition may be well regarded if it is rewarded with money, fame and power
這兩個選項差的很遠;
原文說：你無論給什么回報，種類不重要，關鍵要配得上。
B選項的錯誤就在于，強調種類去了。沒有說配不配的上問題。
所以A選項正確 。
有同學說定位反了，其實沒有，很多時候If的位置是可以互換的，而且這里已經沒有更好的選項了，就只能接受了，這是最關鍵的!一定記住選最 佳!
邏輯舉例：
原文：如果我還在你身邊，那是我愛你。
選項：如果我愛你，我還會在你的身邊。
第二句：

切分：

= the educated is not least among them.
參考譯文：如果雄心的傳統要有生命力，它就必須得到廣泛的認同，尤其要受到那些自己也受人欽佩的人的高度重視，受過良好教育的人在他們當中不是少數。
[C] its goals are spiritual rather than material
[D] it is shared by the rich and the famous
D選項中的the rich and the famous和文中的“受人欽佩的人”和“受過良好教育的人”不能做同義替換，一定要說有關聯的話，只能說是可能對而已。有錢的人，和名人可能是“受人欽佩的人”，所以還是選擇A最 好!
并且這個句子也有if 位置不完全匹配的問題。所以依然是A最 佳!
C選項在文中就沒有任何依據，屬于NG!
